Compelled

An iOS game. In TestFlight, coming to the App Store.

Compelled is a Sudoku game with one move in it. The grid is an ordinary Sudoku grid, and the only thing you can do is tap a cell to say this cell's value is forced, right now. Get it right and the game fills the cell in for you: you never choose a digit. Get it wrong and the run is over.

That single rule turns Sudoku inside out. The work is no longer filling squares in, it is knowing which square the three rules have already decided, and being honest about the difference between a cell you have proved and a cell you have merely guessed. Levels differ only in how much of the grid you start with; the harder ones hand you fewer digits and nothing else changes.

It is wordless, offline, and quiet. No account, no sign-in, no ads, no streaks and no notifications. A run is you, a grid, and a clock.
